வவுனியாவில் யானை தாக்கியதில் சிறுமி ஒருவர் சிறு காயங்களுடன் உயிர் பிழைத்துள்ளார். ஓமந்தை விளக்குவைத்தகுளம் பகுதியில் குறித்த சம்பவம் நேற்று மாலை 5 மணியளவில் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளது.

குறித்த சிறுமி வீதியால் சைக்கிளில் வந்துகொண்டிருந்த போது வீதியில் நின்றிருந்த யானை தாக்கியுள்ளது. இதனால் சிறுமி சைக்கிளில் இருந்து கிழே விழுந்துள்ளார். கீழே விழுந்தமையால் சிறுமி சிறுகாயங்களிற்கு உள்ளாகியுள்ளார்.

பின்னர் அயலவர்கள் வந்ததும் யானை அங்கிருந்து சென்றுள்ளது. விளக்குவைத்தகுளம் பகுதியை சேர்ந்த லக்சிகா என்ற 11 வயதுச் சிறுமியே சிறு காயங்களிற்குள்ளாகியதுடன் வவுனியா வைத்தியசாலையில் சிகிச்சைக்காக அனுமதிக்கபட்டுள்ளார்.
